Where do I began???? Do I have to explain why this is ridiculous on too many levels?? The obvious outrage anybody with in their right mind is feeling over this cartoon is fully justified. My intelligence was more than insulted when I read the lame response given by the Posts Editor-in-Chief, stating "The cartoon is a clear parody of a current news event, to wit the shooting of a violent chimpanzee in Connecticut. It broadly mocks Washington's efforts to revive the economy." WHAT??!! Pretty sure Obama is the face of Washington right now... so.... the translation wasn't hard for me to comprehend.. And to make matters worse, on the reverse side of the cartoon was a photograph of Obama signing the stimulus bill!!! For the sake of not wanting to stoop to the same level of ignorance, I'm going to wrap up my thoughts here, and try to remember to say a prayer for a few more people tonight.
